What is insulin?

Our pancreas produces a hormone called insulin. Insulin helps our body regulate our glucose levels in our blood (Rahman et al., 2021).

When someone is diagnosed with Diabetes, their pancreas needs help producing insulin, so medical management is necessary to help stabilize blood sugars and induce glucose storage in the liver, muscles, and fat tissues (Rahman et al., 2021).
